Altar I firmware releases and updates. Instructions to install firmware can be found here .
Release notes:
- Pairing mode now activated by a long press on the PAIR button, avoiding accidental presses
- Sensitivity of rotary encoder knob has been halved
- PAIR button disabled when Altar I is set to USB mode
- FN + DEL now sends FORWARD DELETE key, making various shortcuts possible
- Apple GLOBE key now activated by tapping FN key
- Pressing FN + ↑ (UP ARROW) and FN + ↓ (DOWN ARROW) now sends PAGE UP and PAGE DOWN key strokes
- Improved Bluetooth compatibility with some Intel Bluetooth adapters and drivers

Prerequisite: Identify your Altar I pattern (either U.S. English or U.K. English). Pattern information can
be
found on the back of Altar I.
To install Altar I firmware:
To install Altar I firmware:
- Download the latest firmware
- Ensure Altar I is turned on
- Connect Altar I directly to your computer via USB
- Press FN + CTRL + PAIR simultaneously to enter bootloader mode (Altar I will now appear as a storage device on your computer)
- Copy the firmware file to Altar I (an error may appear, however the file has been successfully transferred in this case)
- Once Altar I detects the new firmware being copied, it will automatically disconnect, reboot, install the new firmware, and reconnect itself.
